Further Confusion（ファーザー・コンフュージョン）は、サンフランシスコ・ベイエリアで毎年1月に開催されているファーリー・コンベンション。略称はFurCon、FC。2012年現在、参加者数はAnthroconに次いで2番目の規模を誇る。
概要[編集]
1999年にサンタクララのWestin Santa Clara Hotelで開催されたのが始まり。年々参加者は増加しており、会場も2002年にはサンマテオのMarriott Hotel、2005年にはサンノゼのDoubletree、2010年にはFairmont、2012年にはサンノゼ・コンベンション・センターへと移り変わっている。
1999年から2010年までにFurther Confusionは総額13万ドル以上を慈善団体に寄付しており、また別に地元の慈善団体に対して総額12万ドル近くを寄付している。
プログラム、イベント[編集]
作品の展示・即売会、着ぐるみパレード、ダンスパーティ、招待ゲストによる講演会、パフォーマンス・ショー、チャリティー・オークション、各種勉強会など、行われるイベントは多岐にわたる。
特徴的なイベントとして、即興での作品制作の腕を競う"Iron Artist"（2001年～2008年）、大会内テレビ局の"FCTV"、着ぐるみで競技を行う"Critterlympics"などがある。

運営組織はAnthropomorphic Arts and Education, Inc. (AAE)。非営利公益法人（NPO法人）であり、教育支援および慈善活動を行う組織としてIRC501(c)(3)に該当している。
退会の略称である"FurCon"の語は、AAEのサービスマークとして商標登録されている。[1]
